Adapted by Patrick Barlow and based on the Alfred Hitchcock film, inspired by John Buchan’s novel, ‘The 39 Steps’ follows the incredible adventures of our handsome hero, Richard Hannay. Complete with stiff upper lip, pencil moustache and British gung-ho, he encounters dastardly murders, double crossing secret agents and devastatingly beautiful women. This wonderfully inventive comedy thriller features just six actors playing 39 roles in 100 minutes!
Patrick Barlow’s ‘The 39 Steps’ won both the Olivier Award and the What’s On Stage Award for Best Comedy in 2007.
