Adhoc present an amateur production of Sir Terry Pratchett’s Wyrd Sisters

Three witches gathered on a lonely heath. A king cruelly murdered, his throne usurped by his cousin, his ambitious wife having persuades him to do so. A child heir and the crown of the kingdom, both missing… something is rotten in the Kingdom of Lancre.

How to hide the crime? Why not commission a play to serve as propaganda, portraying the witches of Lancre and the former king as evil, and the usurpers as virtuous? After all, “The past is what people remember, and memories are words. There is only recollection, and stories. And plays, of course.” Fake news anyone?

Stephen Briggs’ adaptation of this Discworld novel has had many an audience cackling. Now the story of the Kingdom of Lancre comes to Harrold!
