Almost There!

The redevelopment
Work on the redevelopment continues at a pace and, although we don’t yet have an exact completion date, we expect to be ready to re-open in the summer.  We will certainly be ready to welcome back some of our regulars, such as The DanceVybz Academy, Harrold Toddler group, and Ad Hoc when the new school year starts at the beginning of September.  Plans will now start to be developed for a formal re-opening event and an open day when we hope as many villagers as possible will come and see the results of what has been a very long process and a lot of hard work!  Thank you for your patience.

Fundraising status
Thanks to the generosity of many donors, fund raisers, and supporters we are now almost there with the funds needed to complete the project.  Our revised target for completion is £400,000 and this has now very nearly been met thanks to £330,000 in donations and fund raising plus a £50,000 loan from the Charity Bank.  That leaves us still requiring £20,000, so keep up the good work and we’ll make it over the line!

To help us complete the project you can buy a brick or to make an online donation, large or small, at our Virgin Money home page http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/charities/harroldinstitute, or you can buy Pit Run raffle tickets.  If you can help in any other way, please contact Nigel Grout by email: ngrout4@gmail.com

All levels of support are truly appreciated, and we hope we haven’t missed anyone from the list.

The renewed Centre
With the continued support of everyone, we are confident that the Harrold Centre project will make the Centre the building that the village deserves and needs.  Together we will create an attractive and welcoming venue with greatly improved, up-to-date facilities fit for the 21st century, which will be to the benefit of all.   We will keep the village up to date with progress and notify everyone as soon as we have fixed dates for opening the renewed Centre.
